NEET UG 2024 Hearing Today in Supreme Court 18 july will exam be canceled or conducted again know detail

NEET UG 2024 Hearing In Court Today: The Supreme Court will again hear the petitions filed in the NEET case today i.e. on Thursday, 18 July 2024. From allegations of paper leak to the demand for cancellation of the exam, many issues will be discussed today. In the last hearing, the court had said that some parties have not received the affidavits filed by NTA and the Center. During this time, the affidavits should reach them and they should get a chance to prepare their answers. After this, the case will proceed today.

So many petitions will be heard

The case will be heard by a bench of Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud and Justice JB Pardiwala and Justice Manoj Mishra. Today, more than 40 petitions will be debated. Along with this, there will also be a discussion on those petitions which were filed in different High Courts and for which NTA had said that all these should be transferred to the Supreme Court.

The next date was given

The last hearing was held on July 11 and the apex court had postponed the hearing as some parties had not received the responses given by the Centre and NTA. Last time the court had also received the CBI report on which the court had asked to talk in the next hearing i.e. today.

Citing a report from IIT Madras

Let us tell you that in the last hearing, the Center had cited the report of IIT Madras and said that this data analytics report shows that there has been no mass level rigging in the examination. Along with this, no special benefit has been given to the students of any particular center. Students have scored high marks at many centers.

What did NTA have to say

NTA had also filed a separate affidavit saying that they have separately investigated the marks distribution and found that these marks have been given to the candidates in a normal manner and no other factor is responsible for this. What decision comes in this matter will be known when the court proceedings proceed further.

Answers sought to three questions

The court had sought clear answers from NTA on three questions. First, when did the paper leak first happen, second, how are the question papers distributed and third, what was the exact time gap between the paper leak and the exam being conducted. Today, all the petitioners who have filed against NTA, the Centre and the exam will have to present their side. Nearly 24 lakh candidates have their eyes on the court and everyone wants to know what will happen next in the case.
